Our home is situated on over 3 acres with direct access to the Schroon River. Please note that the trail leading to the river is steep and uneven, with drop-offs along the way. Caution is advised when using the trail, and it may not be suitable for small children. My family and I absolutely loved Rob‘s place! From the moment we booked it to the moment we left, Rob was always available and extremely helpful and kind. We stayed right before Christmas and for several days after, and it was absolutely beautiful! He had a Christmas tree up for us and decorations on the mantle. We had the fireplace going and the lights outside just was the cherry on top. The ambience was so inviting and relaxing. We even went outside and had a fire around the fire pit with the beautiful lights all strung around. It was picturesque! The view from the main bedroom on the top floor was so beautiful. Through the woods, you could see the river and it just looked very peaceful. Everything was so clean and what was listed in the amenities was accurate. It just seems so perfect the time we spent there. We just are so blessed that we were able to build happy memories there which we will never forget! We hope that we can come back someday, maybe even in the summer :)

My family and I were looking for a getaway this past weekend just to get away from the city rush and enjoy time off from work. We couldn’t have been happier with the decision we made to stay at Riverstone Retreat. The house was conveniently located right off the highway, clean from top to bottom, had plenty of amenities like a game room, outdoor fire pit / indoor fireplace, and much more. We spent time watching movies, going to Lake George Village (less than a 15 minute drive) to get some grub, and had a home cooked meal our last night there. Our host Robert made sure we were provided with anything we needed to make our trip memorable and comfortable. From kitchenware, to blankets/towels, instructions, a parking space, firewood for the fire pit, and so much more, Robert had every and all areas covered. We can’t wait to come back up for a summer trip. Anyone going to or near Lake George or just looking to get away, Riverstone Retreat is exactly what you’re looking for. Excellent trip!
